Here we have another shoot from the tail end of the station. It clearly shows the stations tail numbers, and an old roadster parked at the station.

Henery and Elmer Nickle

Henery and Elmer Nickle

In this Photograph we can see both Henery and Elmer Nickle in front of their recently constructed service station. This was the beginning of a historic monument that would become an icon on the side of Clinton Highway, and a fond memory to many residents of Powell, TN and the surrounding areas. Refueling the Powell Airplane

Refueling the Powell Airplane

Here was have a wonderful example of the fillingstation in action. This photo seems to have been taken on a day when the Texaco delivery truck was on site to replenish the stations fuel supply. You can clearly see one of the Nickle brothers speaking to the delivery man while he completes his duties. It also of importance to notice that this image shows the addition of the gyro propeller on the top on the station.
