The car show is coming back. After a brief hiatus, there will once again be a car show at the Karns Fair on July 25. In a show of cross-community cooperation, a Powell group will be sponsoring the show at this year's fair. Rock Bernard, representing the Airplane Filling Station Preservation Association, and Roger Kane, president of the Karns Fair board, met last week to finalize the agreement that will have the Powell Airplane grup sponsoring and managing the car show at this year's event.

The AFSPA, the organization restoring and preserving the iconic airplane filling station building on Clinton Highway in Powell, will operate the car show while assisting in promoting both the fair and show. Proceeds from the show will go towards the restoration efforts of the historic building. "This is a good match," said Kane. "We usually have folks from Karns, Powell, Halls, really from all over coming to the fair and they all know about the airplane. We will probably have some who even remember when it used to sell gasoline. So this is a really good match."
